Tatham Fells Church Gates Dedication Ceremony 1960<\/h3>\n<p>The gates were made to commemorate the centenary (1859 &#8211; 1959) of the firm of Taylors, blacksmiths of Green Smithy.<br \/>\nL to R:<br \/>\nRevd D K Croft, vicar of Wray with Tatham Fells;<br \/>\nJohn Knowles, churchwarden;<br \/>\nRichard Foster Taylor of Ringstones;<br \/>\nnot known (possibly Bishop&#8217;s chauffeur and verger);<br \/>\nRt Revd Charles Claxton, Bishop of Blackburn;<br \/>\nRobert Taylor of Green Smithy;<br \/>\nTom Hall, churchwarden.<\/p>\n<h3>Image 9. Sunday School children at Tatham Rectory c. 1932<\/h3>\n<p>The photo was presented to the children, in a card, at Christmas.<br \/>\nRector, Rev. Roberts, at the back.<br \/>\nFront L: Gordon Martin, son of Ted, of Oak Cottage, Wennington.<br \/>\nOthers need confirmation: Back R &#8211; Gerald or Ernest Hartley. Lady next to him &#8211; Margaret Jennings, later Whaley of The Bridge Inn (a Sunday School teacher).
