Image 7. Tatham Fells Church Gates Dedication Ceremony 1960

The gates were made to commemorate the centenary (1859 – 1959) of the firm of Taylors, blacksmiths of Green Smithy.
L to R:

not known (possibly Bishop’s chauffeur and verger);

The photo was presented to the children, in a card, at Christmas.
Rector, Rev. Roberts, at the back.
Front L: Gordon Martin, son of Ted, of Oak Cottage, Wennington.
Others need confirmation: Back R – Gerald or Ernest Hartley. Lady next to him – Margaret Jennings, later Whaley of The Bridge Inn (a Sunday School teacher). Lady middle row R white hat: Sarah Gelderd (also a Sunday School teacher).
