John and Beatrice Carr farmed at Tunstall House (formerly Lower Balshaw) from the 1920s. The wedding was in Horton in Ribblesdale church, and this photo was probably taken at Beatrice’s parents’ home, North Cote, Selside.

The other man is the groom’s younger brother, Thomas (Tommy) Carr, who later farmed at Thwaite Moss, which he took over from his parents William and Alice. The other three women may include the groom’s sisters Mary Jane (half sister) and Isabel.
